For the second year in a row, one of the Met Gala's greatest queens won't be there to blow our minds with her gorgeous clothes, and sadly for us, it's Zendaya.
The fashion diva stunned fans and Met Gala attendees alike when she announced that she will not attend fashion's biggest night out for the second year in a row.
While we struggle to pick our jaws up off the floor, Zendaya explains that she has a very good reason to say no.
"I'm going to disappoint my fans here, but I'm going to work. Your daughter has to work and produce videos, "Extra was informed by her. "I wish everyone the best of luck. I'm going to play tennis."
The film was first revealed in February 2022, and it will also star Josh O'Connor from The Crown and Mike Faist from West Side Story.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that "Tashi [aka Zendaya], a former tennis player turned coach, has converted her husband, Art, from a poor player to a world-famous grand slam champion.
To shake him out of his current losing run, she forces him to compete in a 'Challenger' event, which is close to the lowest level of competition on the pro circuit.
At the por tour, he finds himself across the net from the once-promising, now-burned-out Patrick: his former best buddy and Tashi's ex-boyfriend."
But don't rule out Zendaya attending next year's Met Gala just yet. Zendaya has stated that she would return when she is ready.
