James Madison University Softball Player Lauren Bernett Has Died, The School Announced Tuesday. She Was 20.
No cause of death was provided and calls by USA TODAY Sports to the Rockingham County, Virginia Sheriff’s Department were not immediately returned.
The news comes one day after Bernett was named the softball Player of the Week in the Colonial Athletic Conference and they did not provide any further details about her death
