Nottingham Forest have made a £2m bid to sign Sam Surridge from Cardiff City.

He left Stoke City this morning for Cardiff to join Steve Morison.

Sam Surridge, 23, of Stoke City, joined Forest for an unknown sum from Cardiff City.

In addition, they signed three-and-a-half year deal with Dijon from Ligue 2.

On Sunday's loss to Cardiff, Forest forward Lewis Grabban was injured.

Following the sale of Wales striker Kieffer Moore to Bournemouth, Cardiff were hoping to add Surridge on loan for the remainder of the season.

Surridge, who joined Stoke from Bournemouth last summer, has signed a two-and-a-half year contract.

Seen in just 24 games, he has only scored three goals since his debut against Reading.

Even though they had recruited Jordan Hugill on loan, Cardiff intended to sell Kieffer Moore to Bournemouth for roughly £5million.
