Michigan Basketball vs. State postponed!
Michigan State and the University of Michigan men's basketball game has been postponed because to COVID regulations.
There will be no planned 2:30 p.m. college basketball game at the University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus on Saturday.
After the Big Ten Conference's COVID testing on Friday, University of Michigan administrators said the team had less than seven scholarship players available.
Which is below the minimum roster requirement for the Big 10.
However, no official date has been determined for the game's rescheduling.
The first of two planned meetings between the Big Ten rivals between Michigan and Michigan State will be rescheduled in cooperation with the conference.
Those who bought tickets may look forward to receiving further details from the box office in the near future.
Both institutions need confirmation of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the game for spectators to attend indoor events.
Purdue is Michigan's next opponent on Tuesday, January 11. On ESPN2, the game will begin at 9 p.m.
