"Jack Reacher" starring Alan Ritchson Gonna Die?

The new series
is based on Lee Child's first Jack Reacher novel, Killing Floor, published in 1997.

Alan Ritchson (Titans)
is stepping into the footsteps of Jack Reacher, who recently told the New York Times, "Meeting Lee was one of the most nerve-racking events of my life."

Lee worked in
television for over 20 years before becoming a full-time writer, so he knows what works and what doesn't.

As he saw the show unfold, he thought it "came out better than he could have dreamed," and he credited Alan for that.

Of course, Lee really
fleshed out the Jack Reacher character in his books, giving the series a ton of interesting details from which to draw.

Nick Santora,
the showrunner, keeps a list of Jack Reacher dos and don'ts, which is a pleasant little bonus for fans of the book series.

Jack Reacher is
gallant and old-fashioned. Lee thinks of him as more of a wandering knight. Despite constantly getting into fights, he's not seeking them out.

Lee discussed the fate of Jack Reacher and how long he will endure with TW Books in 2015. "They haven't gotten any worse," Lee says of Jack and the series.

While Lee is unclear
how long Jack will live, he has stated that he will die at the conclusion of the series.
