Tammy Scher, Pesce's girlfriend, told Deadline the actor died Feb. 6 in Burbank of dementia.
Requests for comment from Pesce went unanswered.
Pesce was a longstanding acquaintance of actors Sylvester Stallone, Tony Danza, and Robert Forster, according to the outlet.
In the mid-1970s, he began appearing on shows like Police Story and Kojak. He was in Stallone's Rocky and Paradise Alley.
Pesce starred in American Gigolo, Young Doctors in Love, and Vigilante. The Greatest American Hero, Matlock, and Who's the Boss?
After appearing in Flashdance, he went on to appear in Eddie Murphy's Beverly Hills Cop flicks, Top Gun, and Midnight Run.
Sein siblings Vito Pesce and Vanessa Danielle Pesce survive him.
