postpones Texas concert dates
After testing positive
for COVID-19, British singer and pianist Elton John has rescheduled his two farewell concerts in Dallas.
Last Monday, the award-winning artist resumed his farewell tour, dubbed "Farewell Yellow Brick Road."
"It's always a huge
sadness to move concerts, and I'm very sorry for any trouble this has caused," he explained, "but I need to keep myself and my staff safe."
John added that he's been fully vaccinated and boosted, with only minor symptoms, and that he expects to be able to perform at his scheduled show in Arkansas this weekend.
"Thank you for all
your love and support, as usual," John added, "and I can't wait to see you all soon."
John revealed in early 2018 that he will be retiring from touring in order to spend more time with his family.
"And, as much as I enjoy
playing, I'd rather be with my children right now. This is a new chapter in my life, "In a 2019 interview, the singer stated.
