Comedian Heather McDonald fractured skull

After falling on stage during
a comedy concert in Tempe on Saturday evening, a prominent comic spent the night in a Phoenix hospital, according to reports.

Heather McDonald
started her Tempe Improv act at 7 p.m. and had been on stage for approximately 3 minutes when she fainted and banged her head.

After losing
consciousness after the accident, she was sent to the hospital with a skull fracture, according to McDonald's management.

"Dehydration could've caused her to lose consciousness. She was tested and found to be free of COVID "McDonald's issued a statement. "It's possible she'll be discharged later today."

McDonald's tests
at the hospital revealed no underlying medical conditions that may have been connected to the occurrence.

L.A. based comedian,
Justin Martindale, who was performing with McDonald in Tempe called her a "champ" on Twitter.

"Heather McDonald
is a natural leader. Thank you for coming out tonight, Tempe. It was terrifying at first, but she now has her family around her "Martindale posted a tweet.

McDonald had her
COVID-19 booster dose approximately three weeks ago and was virus-free.

The former
"Chelsea Lately" star was headlining a comedy tour with multiple dates this month in Tempe.
