The Bills and Stefon Diggs have agreed to a four-year, $96 million contract extension

Once again, the Buffalo Bills have signed a long-term contract with one of the team's most important players.

The Bills have signed Stefon Diggs to a four-year contract worth $104 million, with $70 million guaranteed.

Since he had two years left on his current contract, Diggs now has a six-year contract with the Buffalo Bills.

Stefon Diggs' contract became a topic of conversation this offseason after two major wide receiver deals occurred.

Davante Adams was traded from the Green Bay Packers to the Las Vegas Raiders in the first instance.

The Miami Dolphins acquired Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs a few weeks later. New contracts for Adams and Hill seemed to reset the market for great wide outs after both deals.

Brandon Beane traded Stefon Diggs to the Minnesota Vikings in 2020 for a number of draught picks. He was a good wide receiver but had yet to break through.

Over the past two seasons, Diggs has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of those seasons.

Every year, he'd top 100 receptions and 1,200 receiving yards, and by 2020, he'd be the league leader with 157 receptions and 1,209 yards (1,535).

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport observed that the money average in the agreement now puts him towards the top of his position, making him one of the best wide receivers in the league.

As of late, the Buffalo Bills have been successful in retaining key players like as Tre'Davious White, Dion Dawkins, and Josh Allen on long-term contracts.

In order to maintain these top-tier players in Western New York, this franchise has come a long way.
