Alvin Kamara arrested in Las Vegas

After participating
in the 2022 Pro Bowl at Allegiant Stadium, Saints running back Alvin Kamara was detained in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Kamara was arrested
and charged with violence causing serious bodily harm, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The LVMPD was
dispatched on Saturday afternoon after a hospital patient reported being assaulted in a nightclub.

LVMPD stated Kamara,
26, was brought into jail without incident and that the investigation is still underway.

According to Spotrac,
Kamara is under contract to the Saints through the 2026 season.

In 2022, he'll earn
a basic salary of $5.5 million and will be counted against the team's salary cap of $14.5 million.

Kamara, a five-year NFL veteran, appeared in the Pro Bowl on Sunday, catching four catches for 23 yards at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Kamara is being detained
on $5,000 bond, according to the CCDC website, and his first court hearing is set for Monday at 1:30 p.m. local time.
