76ers beat Memphis Grizzlies by 122-119

Tyrese Maxey scored 33 points,
including a game-winning driving layup with 26.4 seconds left in overtime, as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 122-119 on Monday night.

Philadelphia won
its fifth game in a row and 15th in the previous 18 games thanks to Tobias Harris' 31 points and Andre Drummond's 16 points and 23 rebounds.

“Just great efforts
from everybody,” Harris said. “We wanted this one.”

Memphis was led by Ja Morant's 37 points and Desmond Bane's 34 points, both career highs.

“I love big games,” Bane said.
“They played well. We played well and fought. As long as we’re fighting and playing together, I’ll live with the result every night.”

In a back-and-forth
fourth quarter and overtime, neither side led by more than four points.

Maxey’s
driving layup put Philadelphia in front
120-119.

On the next possession, the 76ers packed the lane as Morant attempted to restore the lead with a drive, but he kicked it out to Ziaire Williams.

Maxey ended the
scoring with a layup after Matisse Thybulle collected the rebound and handed it to him.
